ACTwatch is launched on World Malaria Day

A multicountry project called ACTwatch, which will monitor the availability and
a ordability of e ective malaria treatment, was launched in Nairobi today - World Malaria Day. Over the
next ve years, ACTwatch, which is funded by a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, will
provide ongoing evidence related to access to antimalarials, speci cally artemisinin-based combination
therapies (ACTs), the most e ective malaria treatment on the market. This evidence will inform policy
discussions ongoing at both the global and country level to increase access to e ective antimalarials for
